Dr. Robin Yamaguma was born and raised on the island of Maui. She lived in Hawai’i for 23 years and loved going to the beach, but never learned how to surf. Dr. Robin received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Hawai’i on Oahu and her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University.
After graduating from Boston University in 2010, Dr. Robin worked on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota as a general dentist for two-and-a-half years. On Pine Ridge, she treated patients of all age ranges, but gravitated to working with the children. While living in South Dakota, Dr. Robin took dozens of road trips down to Colorado and fell in love with all the outdoor activities our beautiful state has to offer.
Dr. Robin completed her pediatric dental residency at the NYU Langone’s Hawai’i site in 2015 and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2017. During the summer of 2015, Dr. Robin moved to Colorado with her son Wyatt and dog Dumpy. She worked at KidsTooth Doc in Englewood for the past three-and-a-half years and was voted a 5280 Magazine’s Top Dentist from 2016-2018.
Dr. Robin decided to move to Colorado Springs to raise her four-year-old son and to be closer to the mountains. Dr. Robin is an avid runner and can usually be found out on the trails during her spare time.
Dr. Robin is a member of the Metro Denver Dental Society, Colorado Dental Association, Colorado Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
